Where sculpture becomes habitat
Inspired by the structures vines naturally climb, its flowing biomorphic form gives plants an organic framework to grow through and around.
Soft junctions and porous cavities create a framework for vines to pass through, wrap around and gradually occupy.
The object is formed from a biodegradable wood-based composite, giving the structure a material character closer to bark, fibre and earth than conventional plastic.
Before the plant arrives, it exists as a sculpture. As growth begins, the distinction between object and organism gradually disappears.
